Beginning a course of therapy might be the most important investment you ever make in your life. Understanding and agreeing the relevant costs in terms of time and money are essential if therapy is to proceed smoothly. Before deciding to work together on a longer-term basis we will meet for one or two initial consultations. This will give us an opportunity to get to know one another and decide whether we would like to continue the work together.

If we decide to continue our work, we will agree a time and day for us to meet. All sessions are 50 minutes long. Individual work is charged between £70 and £100 per session. Couples counselling costs £120 for each session. Fees are reviewed annually.

Corporate or organisational-funded psychotherapy is available. I am registered with AXA PPP HealthcareAviva and Vitality private healthcare providers. Therapy sessions provided through these schemes may cost a little more due to additional administrative work. Please note that private insurance will not cover the cost of missed sessions and you will need to cover these yourself.

I charge for missed sessions and holidays, but not when I am away. This is standard practice amongst psychotherapists. If you have to miss an appointment, I will try to offer an alternative time in the same week, but this cannot be guaranteed.

You can end your therapy at any time but I do ask for a minimum of four weeks notice in order to allow us time to think about ending. Usually, however, an ending will be planned for and thought about over a much longer period.
